Before anything else, Is your skin normal, dry, sensitive, oily, combination or acne-prone? — A typical question that the beauty expert/advisor will throw at you. And from what I recall, answering the question was like, Uhmm…I-I don’t k-know…is it important? As far as I know, my skin…Yeah, it’s oily sometimes dry but mostly it’s sensitive and pimply. Period. Hmm…no wonder the beauty expert raised her eyebrows at me!
Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle.
Step 1. I always wash my face with Philosophy Lactic acid/Mask Cleanser or Avène Gentle Cleansing foam. After washing, I dab it with tissue paper (I prefer tissue paper instead of towel; less aggravating) Step 2. (Once or twice a week only) Exfoliation; I use Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective ™ Skin Brightening Exfoliator Step 3. Toner, I use Neutrogena Hydro Boost™ Clear Lotion with glycerin and hyaluronic acid (to hydrate the skin and prevent dryness) Step 4. Apply Eye Cream first!, Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado works wonders (It takes the puffiness away!) Step 5. (I apply the serum after toner and before moisturizer) I’m currently using Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Firming Serum. Step 6. A swipe of moisturizer (the final step/the step you should never skip) I use Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream – Intense Hydration; this is by far my favourite moisturizer. For Sun protection, I rely on my makeup products with sun protection factor(spf) eg. powder foundation, pressed powder, bb/cc cream
Step 1. (I’ll repeat the morning routine — with some changes) I always wash my face with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser or Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. For deep cleansing, I use my Clarisonic Aria once or twice a week. After washing, I dab it with tissue paper. Step 2. Toner, I use Neutrogena Hydro Boost™ Clear Lotion and Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray Step 3. Apply Eye Cream first! (I use the same thing) Step 4. At night, I prefer facial oil instead of serum; I apply 2 to 3 drops of Aesop Fabulous Face Oil (massaging gently from forehead to neck) Step 5. A swipe of moisturizer (I use the same thing)
